Born an Alto, a race known as the “Devil’s People,” Shan was treated like a slave by the villagers throughout his life. However, when a group of mysterious mercenaries attacks his village, he slaughters them, awakening to his true talent. A chance encounter with a man named Roden then reveals to him that even an Alto can become a knight.
Having finally escaped oppression and tasted freedom for the first time, the young boy sets out toward a future that promises something even greater than freedom itself… A future as a knight.
